Some working professionals who are more or less permanently based on the coast - perhaps employed in the booming leisure economy of Marbella - are ideal, stable tenants.
There are pitfalls, from an owner's viewpoint, associated with agreeing a long term rental in Marbella - under Spanish Property Law. We have established - with our lawyers - our own short term agreements - from 1 month to nearly 1 year.. These are legally binding contracts under Spanish property law, which ensure you are protected from any extended occupation rights on the part of your tenant. Our contracts are also fair to our tenants, so everyone wins.
The big advantage to "buy-to-let" property investors from a long term tenancy is that your returns are secure and locked in - as long as you have a good property manager on the ground to look after your interests.
